In February 2019, INA – the Croatian GRACE project partner – harvested around 30 tons of miscanthus for the first biomass test, which will assess the usability of miscanthus for the production of second-generation ethanol. This test will take place at Clariant’s pre-commercial plant in Straubing (Germany). Clariant is a leading developer of cellulose-based ethanol conversion technology.
