The croatian DEMO Day was organized by the Croatian partners and showed members of the public and private sectors the large opportunities miscanthus is providing for the bioeconomy in Croatia. The main target group in this event were in fact farmers and policy makers, since there are still barriers in place hindering miscanthus cultivation and currently low miscanthus biomass market volumes are seen as the major bottleneck for implementation of large scale facilities, such as a bioethanol refinery.
